May Event
Tuesday 19 May 2015, 10:00 AM https://webconf.det.nsw.edu.au/iitaa Presenter: Ann Brady Session title: Professional conversations and PD Description: VET practitioners are required by ASQA to undertake ongoing professional development to demonstrate currency in their field of expertise. We have to be able to prove that we are qualified and experienced, and that our industry experience is current. Consulting or conversing with peers is a valid professional development activity but it can be difficult to prove that it happened or to demonstrate how that conversation informs our practice. In this webinar you will participate in a formal professional conversation about maintaining and documenting currency. Bio Ann began her career in education as an IT trainer in the mid-nineties providing training to corporate organisations, government departments and community education programs. She has always had a love of technology and the transition from face to face training to elearning was a natural progression. It brought together her interest in technology and her passion for teaching and learning. Her focus is the professional development of educators and more specifically, how the integration of technologies might improve or assist their practice. Ann is currently working on the implementation of the following blended learning programs: the Certificate IV in Training and Assessment, the TAE Double Diploma, the unit of competency TAELLN411 Address Adult Language Literacy and Numeracy Skills. She is also working on the integration of Foundation Skills with VET qualifications and coaching and mentoring educators from the health sector in the development of independent self-paced elearning modules. |
